Data Centre, Server & Power Room Fire Protection

Data center fires can be catastrophic in many ways and recovery after a fire can be very costly and time-consuming.  Damage to or total loss of “mission-critical” data, Damaged assets and equipment, Lost revenue, Super High Recovery costs, Third-party costs to resolve the damages and outage, Productivity loss, Business disruption, Damage to reputation, and Loss of client confidence and trust will be unavoidable.

A data center usually houses IT equipment used to collect, process, and store data for digital activities. Thousands of servers and cables are stored inside these facilities and due to the massive power density of the electrical equipment in server rooms, there is a great risk of equipment overheating and catching fire. With the very high volatile organic compounds (VOCs) content of regular paint and its contribution to FLASH-OVER and the spread of fire, Data centers need to be painted with fast-acting Fire Retardant intumescent coating to make the walls and ceilings of data centers fire resistant, prevent the spread of fires, protect equipment, ensure personnel safety and safeguard business continuity.

On average, the financial loss caused by Server or Data center downtime is about $7,300 per minute, and fires in these facilities can easily threaten the survival of entire businesses. Statistics show that 6% of infrastructure failures in data centres and server rooms are related to fire and for those companies hit by a major fire event, over 70% of them are forced to discontinue their business within a period of three years. To ensure the ultimate fire protection of Data Centers, Server, and Power Rooms, applying any form of regular or ordinary paint to the interior walls and ceilings of these facilities is strictly a “NO GO!” as a comprehensive fire safety and protection system must be installed including the protection (Painting) of the walls and ceilings with a “Class-A” Fire-Retardant Intumescent Coating to add Fire-Resistance to walls and ceiling surfaces to eliminate, retard, and or stop the spread of fires (if they do occur) to promote Property & Personnel safety, Prevention and Mitigation of collateral damages and ensure business continuity.

Our advanced (Class-A) NoFire A18 Fire-Retardant Intumescent Coating provides optimal passive fire protection (fire resistance) to the walls and ceilings of data centers, servers & power rooms which makes them become the “Last-Line-of-Defence” in retarding and stopping the propagation and spread of fires when everything else fails.  “Remember NoFire Paint does everything an ordinary paint does EXCEPT BURN!

What is NoFire (Paint) Coating?
NoFire Fire-Retardant Intumescent Coatings are decorative and Fire protective coatings designed to retard and stop (the spread of) flames in the event of a fire. NoFire is a zero-flame index coating and has the appearance of traditional-ordinary paint. It complies with building and fire codes and gives coated substrates (and surfaces) the required fire or flame-spread protection. Nofire is Manufactured by Nofire Technologies Inc. USA and is known and accepted worldwide for its exceptional performance and fire-fighting capabilities even at extreme temperatures.
NoFire Fire-retardant intumescent coating will not prevent fires from occurring but will certainly stop the propagation and spread of fires. NoFire Coating is perfect for application to walls, steel, aluminum, wood, wood products, Plastic, Fiberglas, and all types of composites and substrates. It complies with the most stringent requirements for flame spread, Zero-smoke production, non-toxic emissions, and heat release – even when it comes into contact with fire at extreme temperatures in excess of 1000° C.

When NoFire Paint is applied to walls and ceilings surfaces, it appears identical to an ordinary painted surface in all characteristics but in the event of a fire, the Nofire coating reacts differently:  – it immediately activates, foams, swells, and expands to form a dense insulation barrier of carbonaceous foam char which localizes and retards the fire, stops its spread and protects the building from fire. The zero-flame index property of Nofire coating prevents ignition, and flame spread, and substantially reduces the transfer of heat to walls and coated substrates, thereby, protecting the structural integrity of substrates, buildings, and structures.

NoFire A-18 is Classified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and It complies with numerous codes and fire test standards including ASTM, NFPA, UL, and ISO, and exceeds standards for many commercial and industrial applications.

Typical applications of NoFire include Fire protection in residential, commercial, and industrial installations, facilities, and buildings. Applications include fire solutions in preventing, retarding, and stopping the spread and damage caused by fire to Homes, Offices, Banks, Strong Rooms, Factories, Mining equipment & Installations, Oil & Gas Installations, Electrical rooms, Power stations, Server & UPS rooms, Data Centers, Generator & Engine Rooms, Chemical & Paint Stores, AC Rooms, Flammable Chemical & Fuel Holding Tanks, Electricity Poles, Electrical Cables, Wooden & Steel Structures, Fiber & Plasterboard Ceilings, Bulk-Heads, Composites, Escape Routes, Fire prone areas in buildings, installations, facilities etc.”

Remember “NoFire Paint does everything an ordinary paint does EXCEPT BURN!”

Painting a Data Centre, Server, and Power rooms with regular (ordinary) paint is a "NO GO". Let's fire-protect the walls & Ceilings of your Data Centres & Power Rooms with Nofire A18 Fire-Retardant intumescent coating.
