Industrial Coatings Africa was founded in 2017 in Accra to close a specific gap: West African industrial buyers needed coatings engineered for the region's environment — high humidity, salt-laden coastal air, intense UV, mining chemistry — but the supply chain was fragmented and the technical guidance was thin.
ICA was founded by Daniel Allotey, AMPP CIP Senior Certified Coating Inspector, after a decade as a senior specialist with Schlumberger on international offshore oil and gas projects. The early years focused on bringing AMPP-grade specification and inspection discipline into a regional market that had largely been served on price.
Today, ICA is the sole African distributor for Polyval Coatings, Xymax, NoFire Technologies, and Beyond Powder Coatings.
